Sláinte and Peace Out, Homeslices.

September 10, 2009

Next week, you may hear the faint chirping of crickets. The wind may blow a little lonelier, and your hours not spent on Facebook will seem a little emptier.

“Where is Caroline? Is joy not surprising her? Why is she not writing? WHAT DOES LIFE MEAN NOW?!”

(Okay I doubt anyone would be that dramatic. My ego wrote that.)

I will be here, since you asked:

I will be in County Cork, Ireland for the next week, hanging out with my mate Paddy, drinking pints, poking through bookshops, and taking many a long and meandering walk. (Also, kissing the Blarney stone — not that I need “the gift of gab” it is told to bestow upon the one who puckers up.)

See you lads and lasses in about a week (and expect plenty of odd and kooky stories…my travels always seem to produce them at an expotential rate).

Till then, slán a fhágáil ag duine (goodbye)!

hope you’re having a wonderful time, Carolyn!
I expect you’ll come home with some great fodder for story.

    @ Linda!

Thanks so much! I took pages of notes while I was there, and tried to make a point of writing every day.

I’m excited to sit down and sort through it all, and pull out some good ideas for pieces and posts. 🙂
