fist pump tuesday
2. Thirsting to Hear His Voice — This latest entry by my currently Ukraine-bound friend Cassidhe was really thought-provoking and stirring. It chronicles her time spent in a prayer community called Taize, in France, this past summer. I think I am in a place in life where I am beginning to long for God’s voice, so it was a blessing to read her reflections.
3. Puppy Love — I was at my parents’ house yesterday, being a kind daughter and commandeering their washer and dryer to do a massive (MASSIVE) load of laundry. As I watched the Food Network and attempted to keep my niece from climbing on top of my head, I noticed a dog outside the house. Now, my parents don’t have a dog. This dog was a beautiful Brittany Spaniel and while it had one of those electronic fence collars, it had no tags and we had no idea who it belonged to. So, of course, I did what any sane person would do — I fetched him a dish of water and sat there, petting him and telling him how nice he was for about a half hour. I couldn’t get enough of those soft, floppy ears and his damp little nose. I wanted to steal away with him and we could live happily ever after.
Sigh. I really, really want a dog.
