happy friday!

February 18, 2011

Well, chickens, no Nosh Friday today! My finals week for my Pastry class is next week and YEESH, do I have a lot of studying to do. Guess who will be spending the weekend memorizing the recipes for sponge cake, puff pastry, pastry cream, creme anglaise, pate a choux and Italian meringue?

As my Pastry group is putting together our recipe notebooks, I have a photo or two of our dessert we worked on this semester to share! (I mean, it is Nosh Friday. At least you can look at some tasty treats!)

This was a Caramelized Pear Mousse dessert that my group worked on and the whole class developed a few different plate designs for it. Take a sneaky-peek!

I’m a fan of plate design # 3, personally. Though I like the squiggle in #1.

Thanks for your censorship. I suppose my inappropriate comments need to be monitored.
